Nudity and the illusion of nakedness, embroidery, feathers and sequins - autumn-winter immodesty for connoisseurs!
This time the designer was inspired by the so-called "Gibson girls" - drawings created by American illustrator Charles Dana Gibson at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. These bewitching and a little languid virgins became the ideal of feminine beauty of that time - tall, thin, with a narrow waist, big breasts and wide hips, Gibson's girl was a reflection of the fashion for the majestic, young and ephemeral beauty, popular in the West.
Zuhair Murad embodies this ideal by dressing his girls in transparent dresses embroidered with beads, sequins and embroidery, as well as decorated with delicate feathers and spectacular floral prints. A huge role in the new collection is played by the nudity effect - the evening dress ceases to be a bastion of strict impregnability: risky cuts, bare shoulders, deep V-shaped cuts and translucent fabrics.
By the way, it was the dress from Zuhair Murad, in which actress Nicole Kidman appeared at the premiere of the new series, that became the dress of last week!
