Do not rush to throw away t-shirts that you no longer wear. Of them you can make fervent pompons!
For one pompom you will need:
- 1 t-shirt
- Scissors
- Cardboard Template
Step 1
Make two templates from cardboard with an external diameter of 17 cm and an internal diameter of 6 cm.
Templates can be made of any size. It all depends on what size pompons you want to get.
Step 2
Cut the canvas of the T-shirt into 1 cm wide strips.
Step 3
Place one cut strip between cardboard templates.
Step 4
Place the edge of the other knit strip on the edge of the cardboard template.

Step 5
Wrap the strip tightly around the template so that the fabric stretches slightly.
Step 6
When you reach the end of the first strip, align the next one along the outer edge of the template. At the same time, cover the previous row of fabric with the second strip so that it does not move.
Step 7
Continue winding the fabric until you reach the other end of the pattern.
Step 8
Wrap 2 more rows in the same way. As a result, you should get 3 rows of fabric on the template.
USEFUL TIPS FOR MAKING POMPONS
Step 9
After that, tie a strip of fabric that lies between the patterns to fix the fabric on the pattern.
Step 10
Holding the pompom blank on top, cut the wound fabric between the templates. It is better to use sharpened scissors with sharp tips.Rounded tips are not so convenient in this case.
Step 11
Tighten and tie a knot of a strip of fabric that tightens the middle of the pompom. Remove the templates.
Step 12
Now you need to give the pompom a neat shape. You can cut two circles with a diameter of 11 cm, put the future pompom between them, and carefully trim the excess fabric.
