Our readers, winners of the anniversary BURDA quiz, were invited to show the latest fall-winter collection of Anna and Alexey Borodulin.

In the May issue of the magazine we mentioned the names of those who were lucky enough to meet famous Russian designers - this is Julia Dekanova from the city of Elektrostal near Moscow and Ranet Kunavin from Moscow. They attended the show of the Borodulin collection as part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia fall-winter 2012/13 season and were able to peek behind the scenes of the fashion show.
Anna and Alexey, whose work we talked about on the BURDA pages, very warmly welcomed our readers and talked to them with pleasure, despite the excitement and troubles accompanying the show of a large collection. She received the name "Olga" - in honor of the Grand Duchess, who ruled during the time of Kievan Rus, and became a logical continuation of the previous theme "Royal Daughters" dedicated to the Romanov Dynasty. Unlike the daughters of Nicholas II, Princess Olga had real power, was engaged in public affairs and even led military operations. Therefore, the new collection has more dense and saturated colors, along with the soulful Russian style, there is a line of princely military in it.

“The image of the Grand Duchess Olga inspired us so much that we did not want an unambiguous interpretation of it,” the designers explained their idea. And our readers fully appreciated this, noting that the Borodulins collection is permeated with the spirit of nobility, beauty, restraint and elegance.
Julia Dekanova formulated her own impressions of the show: “Being strong, domineering, a woman still remains a woman - truly beautiful!”
Julia and Raneta are amateur tailors with experience, and it is not surprising that they asked designers quite professional questions: starting with how the themes of new collections are born, fabrics are selected, details are worked out, and ending with the selection of accessories. Readers did not miss the opportunity to touch the designer models, carefully consider the features of the cut, finish and take something to your note. So, they unconditionally conquered dresses with elements made of the famous Pavloposad shawls, and wraps of jacquard fabrics.
"To see how beauty is created and to touch it is a miracle!" - the guests finally said, thanking Anna and Alexey for a memorable evening and gifts from the Borodulin's fashion brand.
